Volunteering
«Volunteering fosters empathy, builds communities, and creates positive change. By donating your time and skills, you not only make a difference in others' lives but also develop personal growth and a deeper connection to the world around you.»

I'm currently volunteering at the Jewish Hospital, and it's been such a fulfilling experience. My role involves assisting patients as they get to their medical appointments. This might sound like a simple task, but in such a large healthcare facility, it can make a world of difference for patients who may already be dealing with the stress of medical visits.
What I find particularly gratifying about this role is the opportunity it provides me to contribute positively to my community in a tangible and meaningful way. It's not just about giving back; it's about making a genuine impact on the lives of those who are seeking medical care. Being a friendly face in a sometimes scary environment can offer comfort and reassurance to patients, which I believe is an essential part of the healing process.

On September 30, my mom and I went to the CIBC walk for breast cancer. We also volunteered. Our task was to set up the tables and the tents and give out stickers and T-shirts for the runners. It was so heartwarming to see all the strong souls that beat cancer and are now learning to live a normal life. It was heartbreaking to see those who recently got diagnosed.

I loved this event. giving back is important. It was such a nice day and a simple task to acheive. It made me realize that I have so much to be grateful for. Taking care of oursleves is important.
